Choose Our Future
A journey starts with imagining. Can you imagine a future that you want to live in? The future is a mosaic of choices – nothing is set, it’s all to play for. Rewilding is a credible, practical, hopeful movement involving millions of people who are choosing a better future.
In a world where the mainstream media constantly talk about crisis, decline and fear, we can choose a positive path. We don’t have to settle for the story we’re being told.
We don’t have to stand by anymore as our world unravels. We do not need to accept that the living world we are part of – beautiful, abundant, and essential to our wellbeing – will be endlessly exploited. We stand at a crossroads. Collectively and individually, we have the power to change our future. We can hit the reset button.
A new world is in the making – build it with us. Every one of us can be a positive force for change. When we choose hope over fear; purpose over opting out; engaging over being passive, we shape an exciting future for ourselves and generations to come.

Join the Movement
Across the world, people from all walks of life are falling in love with rewilding. Rewilding revitalises our beautiful planet by bringing back wild Nature, wild animals and the beauty of dynamic landscapes.
But more than this, rewilding is bringing massive benefits to communities by helping to reduce flooding, fire and drought, and bringing new jobs where previously there was rural decline. Even in cities, rewilding is making millions of lives better by reducing temperatures and returning life, security and possibility to the places we call home.
Become part of the rewilding movement, a growing community that restores nature globally, inspired by undeniable proof of life rebounding.
Rewilding works
Nature often comes roaring back faster than in our wildest dreams, at both small and vast scales. Success stories are proving that rewilding works:
- Gorongosa National Park is transforming from a silent post-war landscape into a biodiverse haven, supporting abundant life, from Lions to Chameleons.
- The Klamath river: within 10 months of its dam being removed, saw Salmon return to their old migration routes for the first time in 100 years.
- Rewilding Britain is seeing a more than doubling in jobs across 65 different sites since rewilding started.
- Rapa Nui is rekindling their ancient connection with marine life through a huge Marine Protected Area that spans 720,000 sq.km. of the Pacific Ocean. They recently witnessed the largest Whale sightings in living memory.
- An Australian mother and IT worker has transformed her garden into a native-plant paradise for local wildlife, from an Echidna to blue-tongue Lizards and rainbow Lorikeets. One in a web of millions of newly rewilded gardens around the world…
Rewilding is proving that a thriving future is within reach. The momentum is undeniable.
Our future can be a world we want to live in, for ourselves and generations to come. The future is created today – there are many pathways to get there – it is those who act that shape what comes next. The time for rewilding has come.
On World Rewilding Day, 20th March 2026, we will come together to imagine our future – and enjoy ourselves.

Everyone involved loves rewilding because it gives us all practical ways to be involved in choosing a better future – giving us connection, meaning and happiness in the process!
If you cannot do the above, then find an organisation, community or group that you love, and support them. There are plenty to discover.
